Tattoo You

It’s fun seeing things from work pop up in my feed! Loved working with Jessi Preston to create these tattly designs!

It’s been quite a long time since I’ve edited any content, new or not, so I’m incredibly happy that my friends Cristina & Andrew wanted to shoot these amazing costumes with me. More on Flickr.

I haven’t shot in so long that I made a couple of dumb mistakes I wasn’t happy about (like not noticing my ISO set to 1000 instead of 100), but overall I’m super pleased with the results and the opportunity to shoot/retouch again!

It’s also tradition now (3 times) for me to do that ground shot with any costume Cristina is in. :P

Sooooooo blown away with these photos! I’ve been dying to shoot Alan and Ann with Nicole since making the costumes, and it was great to just get together, hang out, and do a shoot near my apartment. (Even though the park was busier than I’ve ever seen it and people kept asking us questions. At least almost everyone was really nice) THANK YOU NICOLE.

Did you know that we shoot all of our product and campaign photos right here in our Brooklyn-based office? We love bringing you as many fun, silly, and beautiful shots of Tattly as often as we can, and as many of you will know, a lot of work goes into crafting the perfect image. Today we’re giving you a sneaky peek behind the scenes of some of your (and our) favorite photos. Check out our talented creative team (Cristina, Hayden, and Ace) getting creative during their shoots!

Getting to chill with Hannah Hart and applying temporary tats was THE most fun. PS, she also really enjoys my Steven Universe playlist :3

Having a very small world moment right now since I sent Hannah those Tattly.

Things have been quiet on my tumblr for a while. I spent a good amount of the year so far revamping my portfolio website, which immediately led to applying for a new job, going to Puerto Rico, interviewing for said job, getting the job, leaving my old job, and starting the new one. Then I made an Inkling costume and went to Magfest. So things have been pretty busy!

But hey, now I have a new site (ohcristina.com), and I am now the Design Director of Tattly! It’s pretty awesome so far!

Q is for Mew
Gah, I have so many Pokemon memories centered around Mew. Specifically, I remember erasing my first run through of Pokemon Red so I could go back and see if Mew was under that stupid truck. IT WASN’T. My preteen heart couldn’t handle it.

P is for Combee (or Com-P?)
It was fun to make a letter after so long. My goal is to finish the Pokemon alphabet before the end of the year.

I’m sure I’m not the first to come up with this crossover, but here’s a little Sailor Splatoon Moon doodle I drew in Miiverse today.
